Dr Joseph Bleakley
BDSc (Qld), MDSc (Syd), FRACDS, MRACDS (Ortho)
Dr Bleakley lived and attended school on the Gold Coast. Joe graduated as a Dentist (BDSc) from the University of Queensland and worked in general dental practice for ten years, both in Australia and overseas. Joe successfully completed his Masters degree in Orthodontics (MDSc) at the University of Sydney and also completed examinations to become a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS. Joe has also taught Undergraduate Dental Students and Postgraduate Orthodontic Students (training orthodontists) at the University of Sydney.
In recent times Joe has remained very active in the educational environment. He has provided presentations at numerous specialist orthodontist conferences throughout Australia.
Joe has also kindly made time in his busy schedule to provide seminars for the Postgraduate Orthodontic Students at the University of Queensland Dental School since 2007. He has been teaching in the areas of clinical efficiency and the critical evaluation of clinical orthodontic procedures.
Joe has been granted and maintains membership in numerous Australian and International Dental and Orthodontic Societies.
Joe enjoys competing in local marathons, keeping fit, and most of all spending time with his two boys. Joe is an avid fan of Rugby union and loves watching the Wallabies.
